About Womens, Newborn and Children's Services

Women Services consists of Gynaecology inpatients, outpatient and procedural services across Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital and Varsity Day Hospital.

About Your New Role

This role is instrumental in upholding Gold Coast Health's reputation for delivering high quality patient-centered care combining advanced clinical expertise with compassionate leadership to drive excellence in women's health services. Helping patients feel more comfortable by providing a better experience through continuity of care, will be a key part of your role.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review expected appointments for the day, review pathology results, check Q-Flow / HBCIS
  • Liaise with all members of the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care and management
  • Arrange follow up appointments and complete request forms for pathology and scan as appropriate
  • Participate and assist in setting standards of patient care based on sound research findings

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Accredited BSCCP Colposcopist accreditation
  • Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent part time (64 hours per fortnight)
  • Base salary ranging from $66.85 - $72.58 per hour
