About the Psychological Service and Complex Management Unit
Psychological services for consumers include assessment, diagnostic formulation and treatment interventions including specialist programs and contribution to complex discharge planning. While the position is part of Psychology Services, it is collocated within the Complex Management Unit, which is part of the broader rehabilitation team, including the brain and spiral cord injury project, and works within a rotational model.
About your new role
As a valued member of the Psychology Service, you will provide high level evidence based clinical psychology services within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation planning for patients with suspected brain injuries, neurological disorders and/or neuropsychological impairments. This includes
- Providing a holistic focus on patient care and management across the patient's hospital and discharge journey
- Providing advanced support, clinical leadership, management and professional liaison for clients and their carers
- Providing expert advice to teams and manage complex caseloads
- Initiating and contributing to formal clinical research activities
Qualifications
- A tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (53.2 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour
