The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist - Advanced (Medication System Management) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide management of the automated medication dispensing system (automated dispensing cabinets [ADCs]) across GCHHS
- Manage day to day activities, including basic troubleshooting associated with maintaining the ADC server, machines and user access
- Support implementation and compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Develop robust reporting tools to analyse and maximise the potential safety and financial benefits of electronic medication management systems
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the interface design and monitoring of ongoing activity
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Pharmacy
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (30.4 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $73.12 - $76.30 per hour

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast HHS, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals, the Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre as well as various community services.
