About our Psychology Service
The Psychology Service is located within Allied Health Services and provides both inpatient and outpatient care to patients presenting to hospital with physical health and comorbid psychological and neuropsychological conditions. The Service works within and alongside interdisciplinary teams, providing holistic person-centred care across the patient's hospital and discharge journey.
About your new role
As a valued member of the Psychology Service, you will deliver high level evidence based neuropsychological and psychological services within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation planning for patients with suspected brain injuries, neurological disorders and/or neuropsychological impairments. This includes:
- Providing evidence based neuropsychological and psychological assessment and treatment interventions
- Utilising clinical judgement with minimum supervision in the selection of appropriate psychometric tests
- Participating in the design, implementation and evaluation of group programs for patients with complex needs
- Contributing a high level of neuropsychological consultation and ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals
Qualifications
- Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
- While not mandatory, possession of post-graduate qualifications is desirable
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (60.8 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour
