About our Psychology Service
The Psychology Service is located within Allied Health Services and provides both inpatient and outpatient care to patients presenting to hospital with physical health and comorbid psychological conditions. The Psychology team work within a multidisciplinary framework, providing holistic, person-centred care across the patient's hospital and discharge journey.
About your new role
As a valued member of the team, you will provide high level evidence based psychology clinical services to inpatients and outpatients across the Health Service. You will predominantly work across acute wards including older persons Cognitive Support Beds located within dedicated medical wards, within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework, informed by clinical supervision, education and research. This includes
- Delivering psychology clinical services including assessment, formulation and treatment on referral from multidisciplinary teams
- Independently exercising clinical judgement in decision making and clinical management with an increasingly complex and varied caseload
- Undertaking clinical governance activities related to psychology within the multidisciplinary team
- Providing clinical practice professional supervision to less experienced psychologists to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards
Qualifications
- Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
- AHPRA registration
- Driver licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent Part time (38 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour
