About us:
The General Medicine Department is considered by RACP for accredited Basic Physician Training from 2026. We have recently introduced structured Work Based Assessment (WBA) program to facilitate General Registration for International Medical Graduates (IMG). We are aspiring to provide training courses to support ACRRM. The department structure supports three (3) Staff Specialists, six (6) Principal House Officers, one (1) Resident Medical Officer and one (1) Intern (PGY1 and PGY2).
About the role:
Work with the clinical team, Director & Gladstone Hospital to provide range of clinical activities including 24/7 oncall activity, in-patient care, out-patient clinics and offer support to clinical measurement team for Exercise Stress Test. The role includes providing support to Hospital in the Home (HITH) for medical patients. Your role includes aligning with the team goals and ‘Destination 2030'.
You will also provide professional leadership to medical staff within the department, and to be an active contributor to the multidisciplinary patient care team.
About you:
- MBBS or equivalent to be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in General Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians General Medicine (FRACP).
- High level of clinical knowledge, proficiency and skills in General Medicine.
- Well-developed ability to direct the process of assessment, admission, ongoing care, transfer and discharge of patients.

Total remuneration value of up to $528,444 p.a. (L27) is comprised of:
- A salary between $210,332 - $266,677 p.a. (L18 – L27)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
