About us:

Gladstone Hospital is an 83-bed facility offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, general medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, and paediatrics. Additional services include mental health, oral health, physiotherapy, and outreach programs. The hospital also operates a Primary Health Care Centre in Boyne Valley and the newly acquired West Wing, which extends medical and surgical services, including private specialist care. With approximately 392 full-time staff, the hospital provides comprehensive care across acute, community, and primary care settings.

About the role:

As a member of the Clinical Executive team, the Clinical Director leads and manages the Gladstone and Banana Anaesthesia team portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, contemporary services that are seamlessly integrated within the clinical services framework of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS). Critical to this role is effective liaison and coordination with other clinical departments, along with ongoing service development and teaching initiatives to ensure the sustainability of the service.

About you:

  • Mandatory qualification/s
    • MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.
    • Hold Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
    • Possession of qualifications and experience appropriate for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia in Australia.
    • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $549,472 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25 – L27)
  • A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18 – L24)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
