About us:

The Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Clinical Network consists of six on site Health Practitioner professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work. In addition to the generalist services provided, the Allied Health professions provide two targeted service areas, namely developmental paediatrics and cancer care.

About the role:

The Senior Occupational Therapist works as a member of the Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Team(s) providing comprehensive, effective and efficient Occupational Therapy services to stakeholders/customers of CQ Health. Services provided are of a varied caseload complexity, spanning the continuum of care that includes service provision to patients/clients within inpatient, outpatient and community clinical settings. The position provides an opportunity to work within a varied and complex caseload, and when appropriate use a transdisciplinary service model, while contributing to safe, reliable and sustainable services for CQ Health.

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
• High level of knowledge and skill in the provision of generalist Occupational Therapy clinical services to clients of all ages across the continuum of care that includes inpatients and outpatients with limited clinical practice supervision.
• Experience in operational management of a small team.
• Ability to participate effectively in a multidisciplinary team and liaise effectively with supervisors and other senior clinicians regarding clinical service delivery and improvement opportunities.

Total remuneration value of up to $12,731 p.m. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $62.75 - $67.53 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
