Your Opportunity: 

  • This role is responsible for the support of a child or young person being cared for within their home environment.  
  • The support worker will be trained and supported to provide safe care to a child or young person with high medical needs within their home environment under the supervision of the primary caregiver.  
  • Availability for shift work is essential – night shifts are a vital component of this role.  
  • The role involves travel across Brisbane metropolitan area. You must hold a current drivers licence.

About the Child and Youth Community Health Services  

The Child and Youth Community Health Services (CYCHS) brings together a variety of specialist community services to help our kids and their families to lead healthier lives. 

CYCHS predominantly provides front line health care to communities throughout south east Queensland. In fact, the service provides access to community care to around 470,000 children, which represents 42 per cent of Queensland's children. A range of services are provided across the continuum of care as well as health promotion. 

A number of Child and Youth Community Health programs, including Deadly Ears, reach communities throughout the entire state. 

The service's 450 (full time equivalent) staff work in and from more than 50 community health centres, plus clinics, hospitals, schools, shops and offices, covering a geographic area beyond Beaudesert in the south to Kilcoy in the north.
