An exciting opportunity is currently available for experienced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Workers to join the Alcohol and Other Drug Services, Wide Bay Mental Health & Specialised Services Department at the Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Bundaberg Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 200,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- Develop, implement and deliver primary health care in relation to Alcohol and Other Drug Services including prevention, education, intervention and promotion activities and strategies to individuals, families and community groups. Develop and strengthen celebrative partnerships and referral pathways with Indigenous Community Control Health Services and Non-government organisations.
Covid 19 Vaccination: It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19 (Health Employment Directive No. 12/21 and Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70)

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $83,312 p.a., comprising salary between $68,289 - $73,019 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HW4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
