An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Clinical Director to join the Anaesthetics Team at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- The Clinical Director Anaesthetics will lead the department and provide high quality clinical services within the Anaesthetics Department, Wide Bay Health Hospital and Health Service.
- As part of the appointment the appointee will be expected to be involved in undergraduate and post graduate teaching and research as appropriate.
- The Clinical Director Anaesthetics will develop and implement the practice of continuous quality improvement and total quality management at management and patient levels. The incumbent will develop appropriate quality activities and clinical audits.
Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). For further information regarding TB please visit Queensland Health website: Tuberculosis

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $507,343 p.a., comprising salary between $210,332 - $266,677 p.a., (L18-L27), clinical managers allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value. (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
