Your opportunity:
- The Nurse Practitioner, within the individuals credentialed scope of practice, provides nursing leadership, clinical governance, case management and complex clinical care and support for patients within the Prison Health Services Department.
- The majority of health care provided to patients in the custodial setting is based within a model of primary health care and predominantly relates to the management of chronic disease, infectious disease, co-morbidity (Alcohol and Drug Addiction and Mental Health Conditions) and the provision of acute care as required. The role includes the key co-ordination functions of complex evidence based care delivery across a continuum, business and materials management, and education provision for patients and their family / carers and staff.
Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from the date of appointment until 26th January 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $177,798 p.a., comprising salary between $149,259 - $155,831p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 8) (Temporary Full Time 76 hours p.f.)
