An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Acute Mental Health Inpatient Team at the Hervey Bay Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- Deliver high level clinical Social Work services within the Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit to ensure optimal assessment, clinical intervention, and discharge planning occurs for health service consumers as part of a broader multidisciplinary team.
- Work collaboratively with consumers and multidisciplinary professionals to provide high level clinical care and a therapeutic environment conducive to the dignity and wellbeing of consumers and carers within Mental Health and Specialised Services. Provide high level profession specific services, consultation and support, as required, within the team and service.
- Provide expert advice on effective service delivery throughout the review and redevelopment of a newly expanded model of care, to include contemporary multidisciplinary services within the Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit.
- The Social Work role will be expected to bring a particular focus on psycho-social aspects to optimise the patient assessment and treatment and care planning by connecting, advocating and developing partnerships to enhance recovery.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $157,360 p.a., comprising salary between $ 128,169 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
