We are seeking an experienced and passionate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to join our dedicated team in the Wide Bay region. This important role will focus on public health and sexual health, delivering culturally appropriate and community-centered care to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Your opportunity:

  • To provide clinical & educational public health/ sexual health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities within Wide Bay and surrounding region which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.
  • To provide high quality, culturally safe, respectful and effective Public health/ sexual health service delivery and program management that focuses on health promotion, prevention, early detection and management.
  • To provide support to Wide Bay Sexual Health Service and potentially other relevant services required
  • The position will be required to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers, families, support networks and service providers.

Under 25s of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $60,136 p.a., comprising salary between $39.27 - $50.54 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HWF3) (Permanent Part Time, 45.6 hours p.f.)
