Your opportunity:

  • To participate in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable clinical service to the hospital patients in consultation with consultants, visiting specialists, nurses and allied health professionals.
  • To contribute to the continual upgrading of medical education, and dissemination of knowledge to staff and patients.
  • The appointment will be to the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service for the provision of services to Wide Bay rural health hospital and multipurpose health care centres.
  • A Rural Generalist Registrar, or Principal House Officer is a medical practitioner in the third or subsequent year of practical experience after eligibility for full registration as a medical practitioner and may or not be enrolled in a recognised training program working towards a recognised Fellowship.
  • This position provides a unique opportunity to experience the complete breadth of rural/regional general practice and rural generalist medicine, containing accredited posts with both RACGP and ACRRM. Such opportunities include ASTs and ARSTs in emergency medicine, anaesthesia, obstetrics and gynaecology, adult internal medicine, mental health, and alcohol and other drugs.

Several Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) and Temporary Part Time Positions (hours negotiable) for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $175,370 p.a., comprising salary between $129,583 - $150,240 p.a., (f/t) or competitive salary rates between $65.35 - $75.77 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%) and vocational training subsidy (L4-L9) (Several Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f. and Temporary Part Time Positions, hours negotiable, for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension).
