Wide Bay Mental Health and Specialised Services is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to lead and coordinate the Perinatal Mental Health Services in the Bundaberg region. This advanced practice role provides clinical leadership, care coordination, and service development, ensuring women experiencing perinatal mental health issues receive timely, person-centred, and trauma-informed care.

Your opportunity: 

• The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) (Perinatal Mental Health Coordinator) is a clinical leader, accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of patient centred clinical practice specific to Perinatal Mental Health.
• The CNC (Perinatal) demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and provides clinical leadership, advice and advocacy to a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of quality and cost effective nursing and/or midwifery services which are consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation and best practice.
• The CNC (Perinatal) will provide a consultation-liaison service for perinatal mental health consumers within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service providing a pathway to care for women at risk of perinatal mental health issues.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $82,106 p.a., comprising salary rates between $66.86 - $72.59 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hours p.f.).
