Advanced Health Worker - Court Liaison Service

Provide cultural support to consumers engaged with the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service (QFMHS), including the Court Liaison Service, Community Forensic Outreach Service, Queensland Fixated Threat Assessment Centre and the Mental Health Liaison Service to inform treatment planning, interventions and care.

About the Role
- Establish working relationships with staff in mental health services, court and prison services in South-East Queensland.
- Provide a liaison service between forensic mental health services and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers engaged with the services provided by the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service.
- Encourage positive interactions between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island consumers and relevant mental health service providers and provide an intermediary role as necessary.
- Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
