About the role
Permannet full time opportunity to provide specialist psychiatric services to forensic and high-risk consumers across the southern and central areas of Queensland as part of the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service (QFMHS) Community Forensic Outreach Service, Qld Fixated Threat Assessment Centre, Court Liaison Service, Indigenous Mental Health Intervention Program, Police Communications Centre Mental Health Liaison Service, Parole Board Liaison).
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provision of specialist forensic mental health input to HHS mental health services through consultation and liaison, intervention and educational services.
- Provide psychiatry support to the various arms of the QFMHS as required. Work in partnership across the Queensland Forensic Mental Health service system.
- Participate in strategic planning and development of Metro North Mental Health Services as it pertains to QFMHS.
- Foster the promotion of standards of excellence in the provision of clinical and public health services.
- Support processes that optimise the efficiency and safety of entry, progress, and discharge of consumers from mental health services, including comprehensive assessments, interventions and goal planning, input into clear relapse and re-entry plans, discharge summaries and outcome reporting.
