About the role
- Permanent opportunity to to support the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of a program to provide mental health and social and emotional wellbeing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in custody in nominated correctional centres and transitioning to community. This includes both established and new sites.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Apply expertise in the area of social and emotional wellbeing to lead and coordinate, in consultation with the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service (QFMHS) Statewide Team and relevant Hospital and Health Services the development, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing improvement of social and emotional wellbeing programs in correctional centres.
- Utilise knowledge of cultural practices to promote community engagement in service development and delivery.
- Apply advanced project management skills in the development and implementation of new Social and Emotional Wellbeing in Correctional Centres (SEWBCC) services around the state.
