Salary: Remuneration package of up to $155,773 p.a. (+ any other applicable allowances/benefits including rural and remote allowances and RANIP - employer provided assistance with accommodation may also be available for this position) comprising salary range of $127,073 - $136,126 p.a. (Nurse Grade 9), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).
About the Role
- Provide leadership to Mornington Island health staff to proactively support and work with Gidgee healing to ensure a seamless high quality integrated health service for the community of Mornington Island.
- Lead operational, strategic and workforce planning and clinical governance, being responsible for ensuring responsive and sustainable delivery of safe, quality and culturally appropriate care through efficient resourcing of human, financial and material resources.
- Provide direct nursing care at an advanced nursing level including the coordination, management and provision of on-call service requirements.
- Actively participate and engage with the Mornington Island community and work in partnership with patient, families/carers and other health service providers to enhance positive outcomes and experiences.
Mornington Island Hospital and Community Health provide emergency, inpatient, outpatient and community based services to a predominately indigenous population. Mornington Island Hospital is a Level 1 facility with nine (9) beds which provides primary and secondary care. Mornington Island Community Health provides health prevention programs and initiatives to promote community wellbeing.
