Caseload Midwife (Outreach)
Midwifery Group Practice - MOUNT ISA, with outreach to the Doomadgee and Mornington Island communities
This caseload position is based in MOUNT ISA and provides collaborative midwifery care with individualised continuity of care through pregnancy, labour and the early postnatal period for women and families who live in remote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Communities.
Travel to provide outreach maternity services within the Doomadgee and Mornington Island Communities as a focal aspect for this position and contribute to our vision of creating:
Pathways to better health
for our North West communities.

What's on offer?
Permanent full-time role, 76 hours per fortnight.
Caseload model.
Generous remuneration package comprising:
- Base Salary between $96,909 - $103,768 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6 - Band 1) + 35% caseload loading
- 6 weeks Recreational leave p.a. with 17.5% loading when taken
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements of the role:
- Proof of qualification, registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and possession of a current annual practising certificate are mandatory requirements for this role.
- Travel for outreach maternity services is a requirement of this role, including regular aeroplane travel, and a Class C Motor Vehicle Licence endorsement is required.
- Appointees will be required to work under the Case Load Midwifery industrial agreement which includes an annualized salary with 35% loading and six (6) weeks recreation leave.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis, and COVID-19.
- A 6-month probationary period may apply.
