Mackay Hospital and Health Service Mackay is a vibrant regional centre in tropical North Queensland. The Mackay Isaac Whitsunday Region has a thriving economy that includes a diverse range of tourism, agriculture, industry, mining, education, and health industries.

The Cardiac Services Department at Mackay Base Hospital is currently staffed with 5 Cardiologists (4 x Interventional & 1 x Non-Interventional), 6 Principal House Officers/Registrars (including 2 x Advanced Trainees), 4 Junior / Senior House Officers and 3 Interns.  We provide cardiology services to a community population of 190,000. The Department is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for cardiology advanced training status. A wide range of cardiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are provided including Echo, TOE with 3D capacity, stress echo, Dobutamine, CTCA, Cardiac MRI, coronary intervention and pacing device implantation. 

Salary Information (L18 – L24, L25 – L27):

Total remuneration value of up to $483,619 p.a. (L24) is comprised of:

• A salary between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)*

Total remuneration value of up to $528,464 (L27) p.a. is comprised of:

• A salary between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)*

*Paid pro-rata for engagement period or part time employee
