About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Comply with legislation and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
• Undertake effective leadership and management of service planning, service delivery, workforce capacity, practice management and service outcomes for nursing and midwifery that support the continuum of care within an evidence-based framework which is responsive to current and future service needs.
• Responsible for guiding the development and implementation of clinical practice standards and patient flow improvements in collaboration with others.
• Provide effective leadership to facilitate guidance and development related to the management of the complex negotiation and communication interactions necessary for collaborative working relationships within the team.
• Collaborate with others to enable strategic development of a work-based culture that promotes and supports education, learning, research and workforce development within a professional practice framework.
