Who We Are:

Morayfield State High School is a large, complex secondary school with a population of approximately 1700 students from Years 7 to 12 and an ICSEA of 942.

The school population includes many students with a strong cultural identity as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and 20% of students have been identified through the NCCD process as requiring additional support or intervention to achieve success.

The Head of IT (HOD IT) plays a crucial role in the organization's IT department, overseeing its strategic and operational aspects.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing IT strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Project Management: Leading IT projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliverables.
Budget Management: Preparing and managing the IT budget to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
Compliance and Security: Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and security standards.
Team Leadership: Recruiting, training, and mentoring IT staff to build a competent and motivated team.
Operational Oversight: Managing the IT department's operations, including system performance and risk management.
These roles are essential for the effective functioning of the IT department and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

The Perfect Fit:

The suitable candidate for this position will be a highly capable instructional leader, as well as demonstrating strong organisational and management skills, be futures-orientated and innovative.

They will have strong knowledge and understanding of the Australian Curriculum V9 for IT as well as senior IT subjects.
