The Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care is a Queensland Health service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Located in Inala, 18 km Southwest of Brisbane CBD, our clinic is staffed by GPs, nurses, allied health and Aboriginal health workers, and visiting medical specialists.

About the Role

• Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers and family, other health professionals from different disciplines, students and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.
• Manage an appropriate caseload using effective time management and prioritisation skills, including clinical and non-clinical responsibilities and the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation.
• Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities including completing and maintaining mandatory training requirements, participating in performance appraisal, development plans and clinical supervision.
• Provide education, direction and supervision for routine tasks to less experienced staff, students and support staff, with the support of senior clinical staff.
