A temporary appointment is available for a Principal to lead Brisbane School of Distance Education, commencing 22 January 2026.

The school delivers high-quality teaching and learning to students across the state and beyond. As Principal, you will drive improved outcomes through strong instructional leadership, staff capability development, and innovative approaches to online and distance learning. You will also foster positive relationships with students, families, staff, and partner schools, ensuring the school continues to play a vital role in Queensland’s education system.

This is a temporary full-time position from 22 January 2026 until 26 June 2026, with possibility of extension, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role

As Principal, you will lead the school community in shaping a shared vision focused on student achievement and wellbeing.

You will provide ethical, values-based leadership, embed socially just practices, and set high expectations for performance.

This senior leadership role requires a strategic and future-oriented approach, fostering professional learning, building strong partnerships with families, community and industry, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, and managing resources effectively to deliver sustained improvement.
