These programs aim to develop each student's skills and abilities in independent living, academic and work skills and foster their functioning as a valued member of the community.

Sunnybank Special School delivers quality education for students with a range of disabilities, in a supportive environment. 

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.

The Perfect Fit:

  • A caring and dedicated school leader, with a good knowledge of AC9 / differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Someone who understands the importance of Behaviour and what it communicates, good knowledge of AAC and OY strategies.
  • A self-starter, confident to learn new processes and work to timelines.
  • Independent learner and someone who can work with others to effect change.
  • Someone who can work alongside all types of people, of all different faiths and languages.
