About the School
Queensland Children's Hospital School leads this work and has school-education programs located at 25 hospital/health sites across Queensland. Students who attend QCHS are affected by hospitalisation, as a patient or family member, or attending a long-term mental health treatment program.
QCHS supports them to continue in their education and have a seamless transition back to school or onto another learning pathway. Students may be from Kindy to Year 12 and may be from any schooling sector. Our programs implement the Australian Curriculum, catering for each student's individual needs, and work closely with students' base schools to ensure continuity of learning and successful transitions.
