Beaudesert Hospital

Beaudesert Hospital is a modern rural health care facility located in Queensland's Scenic Rim region. The hospital has a rich history of providing quality health care services to the local community and today provides a range of specialties including surgical procedures and birthing services.

About the Role

  • Respond to general reception enquiries in each area by answering incoming telephone calls and ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information to support patients and staff.
  • Conduct patient interviews to verify and ensure accurate demographic information and financial details completing Patient Election Form process and the National Claim Form for patients wishing to utilise their Private Health fund. Consult with patients to obtain accurate details for admissions to the ward and record information accurately in the Hospital Based Information Systems.
  • Contribute to patient flow efficiencies throughout the hospital by liaising with a range of staff to coordinate appointments, cancellations, and rebooking's on behalf of the patient.
  • Proficiently complete functions associated with the wait list of patients by making bookings for procedures, managing appointment cancellations, rescheduling, and removing from the wait list using the relevant Hospital Based Information Systems and in accordance with guidelines.
  • Preparation of patient medical records and supporting documentation as required.

The Process

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future casual and temporary employment opportunities. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and should there be an employment opportunity you will be contacted to discuss the opportunity further. Additional selection processes (interview, reference checks and pre-employment checks) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required.
