Coolum State High School is seeking an experienced, organised, professional and proactive Executive Services Officer to join our school community.
The Executive Services Officer provides high-level executive and administrative support to the Principal and broader Leadership Team at Coolum State High
School and is expected to operate with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, initiative and sound judgement. This position is offered on a Temporary Full-Time basis, with a 7:00 am start time each school day.

About us:
Coolum State High School is a co-educational school which was established in 1985 and has grown steadily to the current enrolment of approximately 1618 students. Coolum State High School is a friendly community school which embraces the underlying culture of care, respect and excellence, offering a comprehensive curriculum and co and extra curricula activities from Years 7 to 12. The school is located in the Sunshine Coast Region midway between the Maroochy and Noosa Rivers. It is situated 3 kilometres north of the Coolum Beach township in an idyllic setting, bordered on three sides by national park and is in close proximity to the beach. The school enrolment catchment includes not only the Coolum Beach community but south to Marcoola, north to Marcus Beach and the communities west to Yandina Creek and Verrierdale.
Your opportunity:
The Executive Services Officer provides high-level executive and administrative support to the Principal and broader Leadership Team at Coolum State High School and is expected to operate with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, initiative and sound judgement.
The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate correspondence, meetings, briefings and follow-up actions, and confidently liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
A key requirement is the ability to support the Principal and Leadership Team with departmental policy, procedure and governance matters.
While the successful applicant is not expected to have immediate knowledge of every policy, they must be able to efficiently locate, interpret and apply relevant Department of Education policies, procedures and guidance, identify when specialist advice is required, and provide clear and reliable information to support decision-making.
The successful applicant will be proactive, highly organised, confident working with sensitive and confidential information, and capable of anticipating needs and following matters through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Executive support: Manage the Principal's diary, correspondence, meetings and priorities.
- Administration: Prepare reports, documents, minutes and provide high-level office support.
- Projects & research: Coordinate projects, research issues and monitor actions.
- Stakeholders: Liaise with government, community and key stakeholders.
- Operations: Support financial, procurement, HR and school operations.
- Systems & compliance: Maintain effective procedures, confidentiality, accuracy and policy compliance.
