You will advance the delivery of a talent acquisition service and be responsible for supporting hiring managers with the end-to-end attraction, sourcing, onboarding and retention processes and best-practice initiatives to the National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (NIISQ Agency), Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and Nominal Defendant (ND) (collectively referred to as the Motor Accident Insurance Schemes Queensland or MAIS-Q).

Your opportunity
Provide advice and support on tactical recruitment and selection elements including role descriptions, employee screening, candidate assessments, and talent retention solutions that deliver a sustainable workforce and team fit for the organisation.
Gather and maintain market knowledge on recruitment trends, skills shortages, risks and opportunities, including partnerships to make better recruitment strategy and talent decisions.
Contribute to customised recruitment campaigns to effectively source, screen and appoint talent that compliments the team dynamic, capability and ultimately contributes to enhanced team performance.
Coordinate the work experience student program ensuring learning outcomes are delivered for the individuals and agency with supports such as onboarding and Peer Support Network engagement.
Support and guide hiring managers in ensuring contemporary approaches to talent acquisition are undertaken including equity, diversity and inclusion, whilst providing process and administrative support to key/critical recruitment campaigns and retention initiatives.
Coordinate employee onboarding activities and monitor effectiveness of the onboarding program and resources through collation and analysis of onboarding and offboarding data.
Engage with education and employment service providers and events including job fairs and conferences to appropriately market and champion the agency as an employer of choice.
Provide advice, coordination and practical support to ensure reasonable adjustments are identified and implemented throughout recruitment and selection processes.
About you
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong commitment to shared values, and a broad skillset that includes:
- Experience in developing and implementing talent acquisition, onboarding and retention initiatives, career expo/job fair representation and recruitment marketing materials and business processes.
- Strong relationship and partnership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Organisational skills and the ability to provide efficient and high-quality service outputs in a dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of equitable recruitment and selection practices aligned with the objectives and requirements of the Public Sector Act 2022.
- Understanding of the purpose of reasonable adjustments and the ability to source and implement adjustments as needed.
- Understanding of cultural safety and the ability to provide sound advice to selection panels and source relevant cultural support.
- Collaborative, autonomous and agile working style and approach.
