About us:

Mount Isa Central State School is located in Miles Street on traditional Kalkadoon land. Our school has served the Mount Isa community for 101 years.

The school began as a humble single building of hessian walls, with a sapling framework, a rusty iron roof and a floor of earth.

Our school has now grown into an innovative, culturally diverse and exciting place of learning for students.

In our multi-cultural school we value respect, responsibility, safety and learning of people. We believe that every child can learn and achieve at high levels.
