Queensland Parliamentary Catering Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor - Events to join our team. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee the delivery of exceptional food and beverage services for multiple same-day events within the heritage-listed Parliament House precinct. From coordinating event logistics to ensuring outstanding customer experiences, this position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your organisational and hospitality expertise in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Objectives

  • Lead and supervise a team to deliver high-quality food and beverage services across multiple events.
  • Coordinate event setup and pack down, ensuring smooth operations and excellent presentation.
  • Collaborate with internal service areas, including Security and Property Services, to deliver seamless events.
  • Act as the primary contact on event days, ensuring a positive and professional customer experience.
  • Support cost and budget targets through effective stock control and resource management.

Your Role

  • Supervise event operations, including staff allocation, service delivery, and troubleshooting.
  • Use event management systems, POS, and scheduling software to support efficient service.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new team members in collaboration with the Senior Supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with responsible service standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control to meet budget targets.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in event or hospitality supervision, preferably in banqueting or high-profile functions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using event management systems and POS software.
  • Current Queensland RSA (mandatory); Food Safety certification desirable.
