Parliamentary Services is seeking a dedicated Assistant Electorate Officer to join Ms Nikki Boyd MP, Member for Pine Rivers, and play a pivotal role in the Pine Rivers electorate office.

We are seeking a motivated individual with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. Our office values teamwork, respect, and a supportive workplace culture where staff feel engaged and valued.

This Assistant Electorate Officer position will focus on diary management, events management, coordinated community engagement, and providing exceptional administrative support. The role will also focus on campaigning and forward strategic planning for the Member for Pine Rivers.

This is a fast‑paced, dynamic environment offering variety, challenge, and meaningful community interaction in the confines of a small team. If you have a passion for community service, experience in organising events and bringing people we encourage you to apply.

Key Objectives

  • Work closely with the Member to manage and coordinate the diary.
  • Provide high‑quality executive and administrative support.
  • Build and strengthen relationships through engagement with constituents and community organisations.
  • Plan and execute regular events and campaigns.
  • Contribute to general office administration and support team-focused outcomes.

Your Role

  • Assist in the day‑to‑day operations of the electorate office.
  • Engage with community groups directly and through established forums.
  • Manage and maintain the Member's strategic community engagement plan with accuracy and attention to detail.

Your Skills

  • A proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Highly organised with a forward‑thinking approach.
  • Proven experience with events management and/or community campaigns.
  • An understanding of the Queensland political environment and current affairs is desirable.
