Curatorial Manager, Australian Art

The Curatorial Manager, Australian Art, strategically leads the management of the curatorial department of Australian Art, including undertaking its sound administration, liaison with staff across the Gallery, research and catalogue works in the Collection, assess and recommend works of art for acquisition, preparation of works of art for exhibition (including touring), manages key stakeholders, and undertakes special projects as required.
The Australian Art collection forms over half of the Gallery's permanent Collection and includes the three distinct curatorial areas: Australian art to 1980, contemporary Australian art and Indigenous Australian art.
The position reports to the Deputy Director, Collection and Exhibitions, and is part of the Gallery's Senior Leadership Team.
