An opportunity as a Collection Management System & Workflow Analyst has become available at Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA).

The Collection Management System & Workflow Analyst will provide strategic business analysis, enabling QAGOMA to realise the full organisational value of its Collection Management System (MuseumPlus).

The role is responsible for facilitating process redesign, and supporting the change management required to improve system adoption and governance, working in close partnership across the Digital Systems, Registration and wider teams.

The position is available for commencement in July 2026.

Key duties include:
Undertake structured business analysis of collection-related systems and workflows by working with the Registration, Conservation, Curatorial, Exhibition Management, Exhibition Design, Governance, Imaging, and Digital teams to document current-state processes, pain points, dependencies, and data requirements.

  • Analyse the alignment between existing business practices and MuseumPlus's native functionality to identify gaps, inefficiencies, duplicated effort, and opportunities for standardisation and improvement.
  • Lead the design of future-state workflows and process models that are fit-for-purpose, align with MuseumPlus's intended use, and support consistent, Gallery-wide practices.
  • Work with the CMS User Group to clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across collection management workflows, contributing to the development of a clear RACI and sustainable governance arrangements.

Delivers complex analytical work with minimal supervision, managing competing priorities and dependencies to achieve agreed outcomes.

Communicates complex ideas clearly and persuasively in both written and verbal contexts, adapting messages for technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical
Demonstrated experience working as a business analyst or systems and workflow analyst in complex organisational environments.
