We are looking for an Assistant Registrar, Collection Storage to join our busy Registration team.

The Assistant Registrar, Collection Storage supports the implementation of high standard museum collection management practices for the Gallery's Collection and Collection exhibition activities.

The role provides assistance with a range of collection management activities including movement arrangements, documentation, packing and crating, art handling and detailed record keeping on the Gallery collection management system.

About the Role
The Assistant Registrar,Colelction Storage is part of the Gallery's Registration section, which includes the specialist areas of exhibitions registration and collection registration. The Registration team manage the legal and physical risk associated with works of art in the Gallery's Collection and for works in the temporary custody of the Gallery. The section develops, implements and monitors collection management programs and practices to ensure the Gallery meets the legal and procedural aspects governing the acquisition and movement of cultural objects.

Specifically, the Assistant Registrar, Collection Storage supports the implementation of high standard museum collection management practices for the Gallery's Collection and Collection exhibition activities. The Assistant Registrar, Collection Storage provides assistance with a range of collection management activities including movement arrangements, documentation, packing and crating, art handling, insurance, and detailed record keeping on the collection management system, MuseumPlus. The Assistant Registrar, Collection Storage reports to the Registrar, Collection.

Additional Information
