Senior Business Analyst


The primary purpose of the Business Analyst is to undertake the identification, analysis and documentation of current state and future state business processes, systems and requirements to enable the implementation of legislative reform as part of the Queensland Building Plan (QBP).

Key outcomes/Accountabilities

The aim of this role is to:

  • Work colaboratively with key internal stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organisation to understand current processes and  requirements and to design  business solutions which meet organisational and stakeholder needs.
  • Lead and manage the identification, analysis and documentation of current state (‘As is') and future state (‘To  be') business processes and  requirements for the implementation of legislative changes using BPMN and Six Sigma techniques.
  • Ensure all change proposals, including  business solutions, processes and ICT systems, are aligned to QBCC's  existing system capabilities and are traceable throughout the project  lifecycle.
  • Provide  a high level of expertise in establishing and documenting ICT business and system requirements through a range of structured research and analysis  techniques including, but not limited to, facilitate stakeholder workshops, surveys, client meetings and industry reference reviews.
  • Identify specifications for the  implementation of changes in business processes and provide recommendations and guidance to supporting planning and execution of the  change management.
  • As a member of the team, undertake tasks allocated by the Manager in a constantly changing work environment to  support innovation and efficient delivery.
