The Change Officer is responsible for implementing change management frameworks, strategies and plans to give effect to legislative reforms under the Queensland Building Plan (QBP). Working closely with the Business Analyst to understand the change impact, frameworks and deliverables, the Senior Change Advisor will work to minimise employee resistance and maximise staff engagement while delivering reforms that meet business needs, schedule and budget objectives.

Key outcomes/Accountabilities

The aim of this role is to manage, drive and deliver change programs within QBCC to support the implementation of the Queensland Building Plan, including to:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of change requirements in collaboration with the QBP team and Business Analyst, the QBP Legislation Advisor and relevant internal stakeholders
  • Develop and implement standardised change management frameworks, processes and practices to achieve efficiencies and synergies across projects and operations
  • Work collaboratively and in partnership with internal stakeholders to develop appropriate change management solutions, products and plans to support the delivery of project objectives
  • In association with the relevant internal stakeholders, prepare a range of implementation documentation including change management plans, implementation plans and timelines etc
  • Work closely with business units and project teams to implement agreed change management activities and to ensure changes are fully and properly integrated into work planning.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are kept informed of the status and progress of change impacting the business where appropriate
