The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Project Officer P-10 Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education to join the K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch. The Principal Project Officer P-10 Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education provides schools with advice, resources and professional learning to support the implementation of the P–10 Australian Curriculum.

What you will do

In the Principal Project Officer P-10 Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education role, you will:

  • lead, manage and contribute to assigned curriculum and assessment projects within timelines, using allocated resources and involving officers across QCAA and external participants
  • lead and participate in project teams to develop policy advice, resources and professional learning that is informed by research and data relating to the P-10 Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education
  • plan and develop resources, and present professional development for teachers and key stakeholders to support the implementation of the P–10 Australian Curriculum, focusing on Health and Physical Education
  • prepare briefings, correspondence and reports and other high-level correspondence
  • liaise with government and non-government educational agencies on assigned projects
  • develop and maintain professional relations between QCAA and key stakeholders
  • participate in forums, workshops and discussion groups in relation to the work of the QCAA.
