Principal Analyst

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Analyst to join the Performance Information and Monitoring Unit. The Performance Information and Monitoring Unit is responsible for providing information and advice about student performance to schools and other stakeholders to ensure public confidence in the certification and tertiary entrance functions of the QCAA. It assists the QCAA, its partners and stakeholders to ensure and improve the quality and reliability of information received and reported by the QCAA.

What you will do
In the Principal Analyst role, you will:
- Lead analysis of student achievement data using your extensive knowledge of Queensland senior syllabuses, assessment programs, and syllabus marking guides to provide quality advice to assist schools with data anomalies.
- Provide tailored advice and technical support to schools and stakeholders on analysing student assessment data.
- Lead analyses of senior student assessment data to facilitate ratification and grade boundary setting processes
- Provide expert advice on complex student performance data and related analysis to support QCAA processes.
- Design, develop and present training programs, workshops, webinars and support materials for s schools and stakeholders about senior student achievement data.
- Manage and conduct quality assurance processes regarding school-provided student achievement data, adhering to tight timelines and fixed deadlines for certification.
- Provide expert advice to senior management about projects, policies and procedures involving analysis and reporting of senior school assessment results.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across government, education, and the community.
- Participate in regular feedback and maintain a Performance Development Plan.
