The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Project Officer – English/Literacy to join the K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch. The K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch is responsible for the support and implementation of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, and the development of support resources and delivery of professional learning for the P-10 Australian Curriculum including the learning areas, cross-curriculum priorities, and general capabilities.

What you will do
In the Principal Project Officer – English/Literacy role, you will:
• lead, manage and contribute to assigned P-10 Australian Curriculum: English and/or Literacy curriculum and assessment projects within timelines, using allocated resources and involving officers across QCAA and external participants
• lead and participate in project teams to develop policy advice, resources and professional learning that is informed by research and data
• plan and develop resources to support the P-10 Australian Curriculum: English and/or Literacy, and present professional development for teachers and stakeholders to support the implementation of the P-10 Australian Curriculum
• provide expert advice to managers and the Director on issues related to P-10 Australian Curriculum v9.0: English and/or literacy for primary and secondary school contexts
• prepare briefings, correspondence and reports and other high-level correspondence
• liaise with government and non-government educational agencies on assigned projects
• develop and maintain professional relations between QCAA and stakeholders including Queensland's three sectors of education
• participate in forums, workshops and discussion groups in relation to the work of the QCAA.
Reporting relationships
This role reports to the Manager, P–10 Australian Curriculum. No roles report directly to this role.
