The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Computer Systems Officer to join the ICT Infrastructure Unit. The ICT Infrastructure Unit is responsible for design, acquisition, build and operation of all ICT infrastructure in operation at QCAA. This includes the QCAA WAN/LAN voice and data networks, both on-premises and cloud-based compute and storage, server operations, database management and desktop support environments

What you will do

In the Computer Systems Officer role, you will:

  • Install, maintain and support hardware and software for QCAA client technology including desktop computers, mobile devices, printers and projectors.
  • Ensure the effective operation and performance of QCAA client ICT technology. Participate in project-based activities as required within either the QCAA or ICTB.
  • Provide advice to clients in the use of QCAA software applications as well as common desktop/mobile applications.
  • Provide technical support to clients including the resolution of problems related to QCAA client technology.
  • Maintain the QCAA hardware and software inventory.
  • Prioritise work activities to ensure that a high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
  • Record, monitor, complete and document helpdesk jobs and resolutions within the helpdesk management system.
  • Participate in all appropriate training and development activities.

 

Reporting relationships

This role reports to the Manager, ICT Infrastructure Unit. No roles report directly to this role
