 The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements:

  • Experience in conducting research and generating insights, preferably in a context relevant to the work of the Crime and Corruption Commission.
  • Experience in using evidence to develop recommendations, preferably applied in a context relevant to the work of the Commission.
  • Experience managing research projects, including preparing project plans, monitoring quality and timeliness, and supervising staff.
  • Experience designing and conducting quantitative and qualitative data analyses of data (for example, using SPSS, R, SAS, STATA, Python, Microsoft SQL Server or other similar program).
  • Excellent analytical and insightful writing skills, including the ability to prepare a variety of research and policy outputs in a timely manner.

Qualifications/professional registrations/other requirements:

  • Certified copies of all qualifications must be produced at time of interview
  • Possession of tertiary qualifications relevant to the role (e.g., social science, criminology, psychology, statistics) is a requirement. Honours, Research Masters or PhD is highly regarded. Qualifications acquired from an overseas educational institution will only be accepted where the qualification has been recognised to an equivalent level in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
