Key responsibilities

  • Manage own work plan to meet brand, vision and strategic and operational objectives.
  • Provide support and undertake day-to-day development and maintenance of Queensland Museum websites and online media.
  • Undertake design, coding, testing and production of museum websites, new media applications and multimedia to meet both business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and document processes and procedures for ongoing content development and production of museum websites using the Museum's web content management systems.
  • Liaise between multidisciplinary teams to facilitate the successful delivery of quality online and multimedia products.
  • Participate in or coordinate a project team.
  • Provide advice on museum and government standards to enable the development and deployment of information systems.
  • Promote digital literacy by supporting and conducting training in the use of online and digital services, including the Museum's web content management systems (Sitecore and SharePoint).
  • Provide technical and planning advice to clients and management about the latest developments in interpretive approaches and innovative technologies for online communication and information systems.
  • Contribute to the safety culture of QMN by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all QMN WHS policies/procedures and guidelines relevant to the job. Undertake all relevant responsibilities identified in the QMN WHS Accountabilities and Responsibilities Matrix.

Additional information

  • Intra-state travel may be required from time to time.
  • Probationary periods apply to successful candidates external to the public sector.
  • Occasional work outside normal working hours, including weekends and on-call duties, will be required from time to time
  • Participate in deployments and 24/7 roster during emergency and major incident events
  • A non-smoking policy is effective in Queensland Government buildings, offices and motor vehicles.
