We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to help us achieve our mission to inspire generations of Queenslanders to discover, celebrate and value our distinctive natural and cultural environment. You will provide excellent customer service which ensures visitors to The Workshops Rail Museum (TWRM) or to activities conducted by it, to have an enjoyable, safe and educational experience.

Visitor Services Officers are the welcoming faces of The Workshops Rail Museum, providing a high standard of customer service and information to all visitors. The role facilitates a positive visitor experience encouraging visitors to stay longer and return throughout the year.

** Casual shifts, on call shifts and weekend work is a requirement of this position. **
** Must be available during school holidays as we expereince higher staffing demands **

Who we are
The Workshops Rail Museum is apart of the Queensland Museum Network and is an Australian Tourism Award winner packed with an extensive collection of rail history and more than 15 interactive zones on the public floor.

We hold a special place within the Ipswich community as the birthplace of rail in Queensland and provide an abundance of experiences including, Life Long Learning, Hands on Workshops, Public Events and Private Functions.

About you

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Relevant experience in tourism and/or customer service

Positions are subject to a satisfactory National Police Check and Positive Bluecard
