What you'll do

You will provide advanced leadership and program coordination for the development, implementation and evaluation of complex statewide preventive health strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders, with a focus on cervical and bowel cancer screening.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Holds at a tertiary degree in Health Promotion or Public Health. 
  • Demonstrates advanced level of knowledge, expertise, and skills in the development of effective health promotion solutions to complex statewide preventive health policy challenges.
  • Has the ability to successfully lead and manage a small team, set direction, motivate, and inspire staff, and promote an environment where staff are valued, developed, and coached to perform at their full potential.
  • Demonstrates ability to independently lead strategic change through effective communication, consultation, and negotiation skills and through shaping policy and/or program reforms, driving innovation and enabling quality improvement.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders that contribute to improved health and wellbeing for Queenslanders.
