About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to demonstrate accountability at an advanced practice level for managing and coordinating ongoing care for patients with cancer or complex conditions requiring fertility preservation services and for the provision of specialist nursing advice, consultation, leadership and education to inter-professional team members as relevant to the specific context of the role.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge, and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards to fertility preservation for patients with cancer and/or other complex conditions requiring treatments that may lead to infertility.
  • Apply advanced nursing knowledge and clinical practice in the care of patients requiring fertility preservation services for cancer and/or complex conditions affecting fertility.
  • Provide leadership and direction within the Statewide Fertility Preservation Services which facilitates a consistently high level of nursing care.
  • Participate in the delivery of clinical care to individuals and groups through a facilitative, collaborative and inter-professional approach.
