About the role

Participate in the provision of obstetrics and gynaecology services at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Be planning a career in obstetrics and gynaecology with a keen interest to gain experience in a tertiary centre as an unaccredited trainee/ PHO. Coverage of the after-hours roster (weekends, evenings, nights) in concordance with the clinical capability framework of the department and with the Medical Officers Certified Agreement. The afterhours roster is shared amongst the registrar/PHO team with consultant support. Provide a consultative service to other medical staff both internal and external to the department and RBWH, consistent with level of training.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide leadership to clinical and service improvement activities and initiate, encourage and participate in extensive, evaluation and innovative treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstrable improvements in service outcomes.
  • Provide clinical services to patients of the hospital commensurate with level of expertise.
  • Actively participate in the hospitals post graduate medical education program.
