About the role

Manage and supervise the day to day food service operation and staff in wards and assist in the main kitchen as required and ensure safe, timely completion of tasks.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Coordinate and oversee the activities and resources of the Operational Staff within food services, ensuring efficient, effective services including great customer service are provided using best practices and Quality Improvement principles and in line with the Food Safety Management System.
  • Comply with the RBWH Food Safety Plan ensuring food safety, quality and personal hygiene are always maintained. Report any food safety hazards or issues to the Site Coordinator or Quality Assurance position.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in all areas through adequate training of staff and the monitoring and management of control systems as required by the Food Safety Management System.
